Participation in the NCP networking and experience exchange workshop in Zagreb

Greek LIFE Task Force members Katerina Koutsovoulou and Spyridoula Ntemiri participated in the workshop organized by the ‘Capacity Building for Croatia’s NCP for the LIFE Programme’ project. The workshop took place in Zagreb on the 8th and 9th of December with the participation of 28 LIFE NCPs representatives from 11 countries.

All the participants exchanged useful experiences related to the organization of educational events, the motivation and networking of applicants at a national level and the role of NCPs. In addition, they referred to concrete practices regarding the use of social media, the synergies with other financial instruments and the national preparation activities for the submission of LIFE integrated projects.

In the workshop, EASME’s representative (Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), Ms Rosemarie Hingsamer, presented the good elements and common problems of LIFE proposals. The significant role of NCPs in involving policy makers during both the implementation phase of the projects and the potential use of the relevant results was also highlighted.

All participants showed great interest in the workshop’s agenda items and appreciated the importance of such actions for avoiding common mistakes and promoting the collaboration between countries.

According to the latest information provided by EASME, the next annual call for the submission of LIFE projects should be expected in May 2017.
